Testimonials

Crossgates

My mothers garden was getting too much for her and needed something easier to maintain. Jonathan came up with the best idea. He and Steve were polite, tidy and hard working. My mum is so pleased, people even stop and look when passing at the lovely workmanship. Thanks J C Builders.

I first used JC Builders about 5 years ago and since then have had him do many jobs. Fencing, paving, a new brick garage. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Top bloke.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand finding a reliable reputable builder can be a stressful experience, below are a few quesions to help you make the right choice.

Do you provide architect's drawings?
We do require plans for larger projects/extensions, but we do not provide them. If your project requires drawings/plans we can recommend an experienced local architect.

Do you apply for planning permission?
We do not apply for planning permission on your behalf, but we are able to recommend an experienced architect who can advise you on this process.

Do I need a party wall agreement if I have a semi-detached house?
According To The Law, if your property adjoins your neighbour’s, you will require party wall agreement.
However, in our experience if you inform them you are planning to do works and get their permission this is all that is required.
We recommend you do this one month before the start of your project in case you do need to get a party wall agreement.

How do you handle construction rubbish?
Removal of leftover waste materials can be dealt with a skip, grabber wagon or a waste removal company.
We ensure all waste is disposed of responsibly and adhere to all environmental policies guiding the construction industry.

How much will it cost?
Every project is different. After an initial meeting where we discuss what is required and do a survey we can discuss the cost or provide a quote for the work required.
